Unknown people have broken into an MTN shop in Isoka District of Muchinga Province stealing property worth K29, 560.

 

Muchinga Province Deputy Police Commissioner Bonny Kapeso confirmed the development in an interview with the ZANIS in Chinsali yesterday.

Mr. Kapeso said the robbers gained entry into the shop between 19:00 hours on Wednesday and 06:00 hours yesterday through the roof after cutting iron sheets using a cutting playas and a pick.

 

Mr. Kapeso said the thieves are suspected to have climbed on the roof top using a rope.

 

He said only phones valued at K29, 560 have been stolen and police found a torch on top of the roof allegedly left behind by the thieves.

 

He said that no arrests have been made so far and investigations have been launched into the matter.
