Charlotte calls on private sector to supplement govt. in health sector.

Vice President’s wife Charlotte Scott has called on the private sector to supplement government’s efforts in improving the mother’s shelters in all health centers countywide.

 

Dr Scott said government alone cannot manage to meet the ever growing demand of mothers accessing the mother’s shelter countrywide hence the support for the private sector

 

Dr. Scott said this at the minister’s spouses fundraising braii in Lusaka today.

 

She explained that the Minister’s spouses have embarked on a fundraising venture to raise money for the rehabilitation of mother’s shelters in all provincial health centers across the country.

 

ZANIS reports that Dr. Scott said the minister’s spouses have so far rehabilitated Chipata General Hospital Mother’s Shelters adding that Kasama and Mongu are among the next earmarked for rehabilitation once funds are raised.

 

Among the Minister’s spouses that attended the fund raising braii were agriculture minister’s wife Phosile Sichinga, Mrs Harriet Kaunda wife to Colonel Panji Kaunda, Mrs Elizabeth Mukanga wife to Works and Supply Minister Yamfwa Mukanga, Mrs. Margaret Chikwanda wife to Finance Minister Alexander Chikwanda and among others.
