Opposition Alliance for Better Zambia (ABZ) president Father Frank Bwalya says the Zambian people want to see a united opposition.

Fr Bwalya has told QFM News in an interview that this however does not mean that all political parties will part of the alliance.

He says Zambians are continuing to push for the birth an opposition alliance.

Fr Bwalya says his party will take an active role in any opposition alliance that will be born.

Opposition political parties are contemplating forming an alliance ahead of the 2016 general election.

Meanwhile, People’s party president Mike Mulongoti has dismissed assertions that he is eyeing leadership of the opposition alliance.

Mr. Mulongoti adds that backing out of National Restoration party president Elias Chipimo from any opposition alliance has nothing to do with him.
