Youths are a foundation of the future – Mulenga
Serenje, January 21st, 2014, ZANIS —- Government says youths are the foundation of the future.
Youth Sports and Child Development Deputy Minister Christopher Mulenga said Youth are the foundation of the future hence the need to empower them in a sustainable way.
Mr. Mulenga says most youths in the country were looking up to the PF government as they did not usher it into office but want it to mainstream their plight by absorbing them in all sectors of the economy.
ZANIS reports that the minister said this during a meeting held in the Council Chamber in Serenje District, today.
Mr. Mulenga said the PF government has revised the Youth Policy to see to it that Youth receive meaningful empowerment.
” Government is in the process of building infrastructure as a way of preparing a sustainable empowerment of the youth in the country, “ he said.
The deputy minister said youths are delicate beings who need guidance and support from the community and government.
He said government is aware of the challenges youth in the country go through in hence revising the Youth Policy to make it capable of empower the Youth sustainably.
He added that his Ministry will advocate the decentralization of revised Youth Policy to embrace Youth in the rural areas.
The Minister who also advised Youth to work with their area members of Parliament for Funding He said Government will soon launch the revised Youth Policy.
