Power Dynamos Football Club has finally extended the loan for its defender Christopher Munthari for another season at Nkana Football club.

This means that Munthari will play the 2014 Confederations of African Football (CAF) champion’s league with Nkana after his contract expired last December.

Power reportedly wanted Munthari back at Arthur Davis stadium but hesitantly agreed to extend the player’s loan to Nkana for another 12 months following a meeting with the two clubs’ officials.

ZANIS sports reports that Power Club secretary Ricky Namfunda told MTNFootball.com that the move was resolved in the spirit of sportsmanship.

Namfunda said Power only engaged Nkana for an extension of a loan agreement adding that the outright player sale deal was not considered.

The Zambian defender spent the 2013 season on loan at Nkana which also earned him a national team call up after finding little game time at Power during the reign of former Power coach Beston Chambeshi.

Munthari was instrumental in Nkana’s defence on their way to lifting the twelfth league title in the 2013 MTN/FAZ super league.
