THE Law Association of Zambia (LAZ) says there is still room for Zambia to have a people-driven Constitution.

LAZ honorary secretary Linda Kasonda said this yesterday during a governance public discussion on the constitution making-process organised by radio Yatsani.
Ms Kasonde said there was no need for Zambians to lose hope on having a people-driven Constitution as Government had stated that it would continue delivering on its promises.
“There is still room for Government to honour its promise to deliver a people -driven constitution to the Zambian people as Government has stated that it would continue delivering on its promises,” Ms Kasonde said.
Ms Kasonde also said there was need for Zambians to register their discontent within established channels.
UPND vice-president Canisius Banda said Zambians should be hopeful that they would have a people- driven constitution, adding that it was incumbent upon the Zambians  to ensure that Government delivered a people-driven constitution.
Operation Young Vote (OYV) executive director Guess Nyirenda also said  Zambians should not lose hope on the constitution.
