The Patriotic Front (PF) government has been advised to desist from excessive expenditure next year now that the 2014 national budget has been passed.

The Economic Association of Zambia (EAZ) says there is also need for that the PF government to meet the expectation of the people on the passed 2014 national budget and ensure that there is development taking place in the country.

EAZ president Isaac Ngoma says much as government has already projected a deficient on the passed 2014 national budget, the PF government must also stick the budget and institute measures to avoid excessive expenditure on unnecessary things.

Mr. Ngoma says the PF government must further try as much as possible to mobilize as much as it can within the domestic economic and also ensure that the country does not go on an external borrowing spree to avoid the country falling in a debt trap.

Mr. Ngoma was speaking to Qfm in telephone interview today (on Saturday)
