The opposition National Restoration Party (NAREP) has challenged the Patriotic Front (PF) government to explain rationale behind the deployment of a heavy Police presence at the Chitimukulu Palace in Kasama.

NAREP National Secretary, Reverend Jervan Kamanga, says it’s worrying to note that the PF has continued to interfere in traditional affairs in the country.

Reverend Kamanga says the PF is trying to frustrate and provoke those who worked tirelessly to ensure that they win the 2011 polls.

He states that the PF should not intimidate the Bemba Royal Establishment with the deployment of Police officers at Chitimukulu’s palace as one way of ensuring that Henry Kanyanta Sosala is not installed as Paramount Chief of the Bemba people.
