The National Legal Aid Clinic for Women (NLACW) has bemoaned the declining number of Lawyers being admitted to the bar in the country.

Executive Director Mandy Manda says it is unfortunate that the number of Lawyers being admitted to the bar has continued to decline against Zambia’s increasing population.

Ms. Manda says the situation has resulted in a lot of women failing to receive necessary legal services pertaining to their human rights.

She notes that this is why the Clinic has come up with interventions to ensure that legal services are taken to people’s door steps by providing basic legal advice to people within the communities.
