Patrice Beaumelle rues Zambia’s winless run in his month-old tenure but is defiant a win is just around the corner.

The new Zambia coach has lost all his first three games in charge the latest being a 2-0 away loss to Egypt in a friendly on November 14.

“I am happy with the football the team is playing but we have to start winning,” Beaumelle said in Lusaka after landing from Cairo.

“It’s just that we need to explain, the mix with the new players and the experienced players, so give credit to this team the best is coming.”

Beamuelle added that it has not been easy especially that two of his three friendly games have been against teams that were preparing for crucial 2014 FIFA World Cup play-off qualifiers.

Zambia lost 1-0 to Jordan on November 6 in Doha prior to their 2-0 loss to Egypt who also have a playoff date against Ghana coming up on November 19.

“It is difficult to play a team that is preparing for a World Cup playoff while you are playing to develop a team,” the Frenchman said.

Beaumelle’s next test will come at the end of the month in the 2013 Cecafa Cup in Kenya where they have been drawn against Tanzania, Burundi and Somalia in Group C.
