There was a scare in the 39th when referee Audrick Nkole ignored calls for a penalty after Chintu Kampamba pulled down Festus Mbewe.
Mbewe could have added a third in the 42nd when he shot wide from a neat Ronald Kampamba pass.
Warriors attempted to revive their day by bringing in Peter Zulu for Samson Chulu and also brought off Larry Siakasipa for Thomas Mbolela.
Nkana suffered a set back when scorer, Njobvu, limped off in the 72nd minute and was replaced by Ernest Mbewe.
Late minute efforts from Abuid Sakala could not save the day for Warriors as his effort in the 83rd minute was swept away by Billy Mwanza.
The win took Nkana to 51 points, opening up a five point lead, 24 hours before second-placed Zesco United takes to the pitch against Green Buffaloes at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola today.

At Edwin Imboela in Lusaka, Nkwazi suffered a humiliating defeat to visiting Lime Hotspurs who are fighting relegation in an evenly contested match.
The goal courtesy of a Brian Chilando shot outside the box in the 64th minute, pushed Lime to 20 points, but still deep in relegation waters.
Nchanga 0 Zanaco 0
Nchanga missed an opportunity to leap frog Zesco from the second position with as they were held to a goalless draw by defending champions Zanaco.
The Chingola outfit are now level on 46 points with Zesco who face Buffaloes this afternoon while Zanaco is fourth on 40 points.
Blades 1 Mine Police 2
Konkola Mine Police emerged stronger in the Chililabombwe derby as they marched to victory with a 2-1 score line over their sister club Blades.
Ronald Chibwe and Chabby Chabala were both on target to inspire a determined Mine Police to victory and dented Bestone Chambeshi’s run of positive results since joining the KCM sponsored side.
A win moved Mine Police two places up into the top 10 on 32 points, just two behind seventh placed Blades who are on 34 points.
