Movement for Multi Party Democracy (MMD) Die Hard Youth Wing Coordinator Bowman Lusambo says next month’s Mansa Central parliamentary by-election is a battle for popularity between the MMD and United Party for National Development (UPND).
Mr. Lusambo says it is unfortunate that the UPND is claiming to be more popular than the MMD even after seeing the response the former ruling party is receiving from the people of Zambia.
He states that the UPND has managed to win some parliamentary seats during by-elections because of the backing of they have been receiving from the MMD.
Mr. Lusambo adds that the only competent competition the MMD has is the ruling Patriotic Front (PF) but that the ruling party will not manage to win the Mansa central seat because people have lost confidence in them.
He adds that the UPND can never win an election in Luapula because they do not even have structures on the ground.
