Chinsali goes agog celebrating Chipolopolo’s win

Chinsali, July 18, 2013.ZANIS  — Jubilant soccer fans  in Chinsali District of Muchinga Province thronged the streets of Chinsali last night after  Zambia’s 5 – 3 defeat over South Africas’Bafana bafana at the on-going COSAFA Castle Cup.

ZANIS Sports reports from Chinsali that the elated soccer fans drummed , danced and sang the now traditional anthem “ Iyeeh, Chipolopoloo” soon after watching the nerve raking match on ZNBC.

The fans said they  were confident that the  2012 Continental Champions will defeat Zimbabwe  on Sunday in the finals of the COSAFA Castle Cup slated for Levy Mwanawasa Stadium.

One  of the soccer fans Humphrey Mwenya said shortly after the game that the Chipoloplos ( Copper bullets ) displayed good football in Ndola last night.

Mwenya described the way the Chipolopolo played as simply good.  H said the team of local based players is fabulous and their kind of play surpasses a team full of professional players.

He, however, urged Coach Hervey Renard to work on the Zambian front line.

Mwenya said there is need for the Zambian coach to be deciding fast in terms of substituting instead of using tired players.

He said that making timely substitutions will create more chances of  scoring in the next encounter against the defending champions Zimbabwe over the weekend.

The soccer fan said going by the way Zimbabwe played against Lesotho, it is evident that the Chipolopolo boys will scoop this years’ COSAFA Cup.
