Govt. warns ‘ fake ‘ PF cadres against illegal plot allocation

Lusaka ,11thJuly,2013 ZANIS….Government says the  long arm of the law will visit  persons  who are selling  plots illegally.

Lusaka Province Minister Freedom Sikazwe says time has come to put to an end the issues of illegal land allocation and encroachment in  Lusaka Province.

Mr. Sikazwe  said the PF government was aware of  some people masquerading as Patriotic Front PF cadres involving themselves in illegal land allocation and encroachment .

He sternly warned that the long arm of the law would not spare anybody  if found wanting irrespective of their  respective political affiliation .

ZANIS reports  that  the Lusaka District Commissioner sounded the warning in Lusaka today when he officially opened the second quarter  of the Provincial Coordinating Committee ( LPCC ) meeting at his office , today.

He said all the illegal structures on the encroached  pieces of land and plots will be demolished to restore sanity in Lusaka province.

Mr Sikazwe said that it was for this reason that  government has instructed the police force to sternly deal with the perpetrators of lawlessness in the allocation of illegal land in Lusaka province regardless of political affiliation.

He however advised the planning authority to do their job to ensure that the right procedure of land allocation is followed.

Mr. Sikazwe has  also expressed disappointment on the drainages that haven’t been worked on in Lusaka district.

He urged the area members of parliament to ensure that the drainage system in their respective constituencies s are worked on before the onset of the rains.

Mr. Sikazwe added that the issue of drainage should been securitized in the ongoing PDCC meeting to find a lasting solution to the problem.
