ZAMBIA’S Multi Award-winning Gospel music star Pompi, on Sunday rocked the Big Brother The Chase eviction stage with his lager-than-life musical performance during the live dramatic eviction show that saw Botswana’s Motamma and Ethiopia’s Betty evicted.

Known as “The African Eagle”, Pompi opened the live eviction show with of his signature hits, ‘Giant Killer’ sending the audience into awe as Africa waited anxiously with bated breath to see who was landing an eviction boot. This was before unlashing yet another hit packaging.

Before leaving for the show , Pompi told Zamtel Entertainment that the Big Brother stage was a great opportunity for him to showcase his talent to such a huge international platform and promised to give Africa “Pompi” ; nothing more nothing less.

But did he deliver just as promised? It was clear that the youthful gospel artiste delivered creating talking points, especially from back home. Some of his fans have criticized him for performing on a non-Christian themed stage and reality show.

They say as a gospel artist, he should have not accepted to go and perform at Africa’s biggest reality show as they claim it contrasts with Pompi’s values as a gospel artist.

When contacted from Johannesburg South Africa where he was by press time, the wowing gospel luminary describes his Big Brother Experience as simply amazing.

He says in line with the great commission commanded to all Christians, it is important to know that Christianity is not a cult or an exclusive club.

“Jesus is for everyone and salvation should be looked at as us vs Lots of issues. We should not be like Christians who only have to work for our grace. They too (Big Brother fans and housemates) need to know about this good news. I was once them.

What use is light but in darkness, I look forward to more of such platforms,” he had to say.

And Multichoice public relation manager Marlon Kananda says Pompi was amazing and broke the jinks of fast club and party music on the Big Brother stage and brought a likable slow amazing gospel of Christ which was well received.

“We should respect Pompi , he sold Zambia to the entire continent and what we should know is that big brother is a huge platform and that Pompi used it to win fans from many African countries,” says Marlon.
