Chipolopolo Boys urged to die for mother Zambia

Kasama, June, 28/2013. ZANIS– A sports coordinator in Kasama says the  Zambia National Soccer Team should adequately prepare for a do-or-die encounter against Ghana in Kumatsi in the 2014 Brazil World Cup qualifier slated for September, this year.

Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) regional coordinator Lisbon Mpande says there is need for Chipolopolo players and the technical bench to come up with a winning-formula as the team gears to meet the Black Stars at their home-ground.

ZANIS sports reports that  FAZ  regional coordinator said this in an interview in Kasama, today.

He said it was the duty of all players selected for the crucial encounter to fully commit themselves to training in order for the country to stand a better chance of qualifying to the World Cup in Brazil next year.

Mpande pointed out that the Chipolopolo Boys have to make amends from the previous qualifying games before the team travels to Ghana for a must-win encounter.

He further urged the COSAFA team to put its house in order and make sure that Zambia emerges as champions at the end of the tournament.

Meanwhile, Mpande has revealed that AIRTEL in conjunction with the Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) will soon conduct a talent identification programme for youths in Northern Province.

Mpande said the competition will kick off on 22nd July 2013 and teams from Kasama, Luwingu and Mungwi Districts among others will participate in the tournament.

He further expressed happiness that the FAZ Division Two North games in Northern Province were progressing well as all the fixtures were on schedule.
