Development comes through hard work – Kabimba

 

Namwala,  June  23RD, 2013, ZANIS —  Justice Minister Wynter Kabimba says that he is saddened with the state of roads leading to chief Mukobela’s palace in Namwala Districts 48 years down after independence.

 

Mr. Kabimba says it is for this reason that the PF government is in a hurry ensure that  to make secure that succession disputes are settled in time because they hinder development in chiefdoms.

 

ZANIS reports that the justice minister was speaking in Namwala district , yesterday during the  installation ceremony of chief Wesley Mukobela.

 

The installation of the new chief is after 12 year battle of succession dispute after the death of  Chief Job Mukobela 12 years ago.

 

 

The justice Minister was accompanied by various government officials and high ranking members  of PF , notable among them were Commerce deputy minister Richwell Siamunene, Agriculture deputy Minister Greford Moonde, Southern Province Deputy Minister Daniel Munkombwe and acting PF Provincial Chairman for southern province Mr.Hamududu.

 

 

He said that the roads leading t o the chiefs palace is in a very bad state because previous government were not interested in welfare of chiefs and only used them for votes.

 

Mr. Kabimba has also appealed to Zambians to safe guard natural resources such as minerals to avoid other countries benefiting from them instead of benefiting Zambians first.

 

The justice Minister has also appealed to chief Mukobela to spearhead development programs  because development only comes through hard work and that they is no medicine for development apart from hard work.

 

Mr. Kabimba has also justified government’s stance on the removal of fuel and maize subsidies because they benefit only the minority rich at the expense of the majority  poor Zambian.

 

 

He said that  very soon Zambians will begin to appreciate the benefits and results of the removal of subsidies.

 

Mr.  Kabimba  also said that government will build about 650 health post across the country and that so far Namwala  district will benefit 9 health post out of the 650.

 

He said that this is an indication that the Patriotic Front government is in a hurry to bring health care closer to the people of Zambia.

 

The justice minister noted that Zambia cannot develop without educated people hence the PF government’s commitment to build more schools in Zambia so that many Zambians are educated throughout Zambia.

 

Mr. Kabimba said that the PF government wants to bring development throughout the country.

He said that the idea of PF is not to discriminate development to selected parts but bring development to all parts without ant exception of any province and district.

He said that he is happy  that some opposition members of parliament have accepted to be working with the ruling party because  they have realized that the PF government has a good agenda for the people of Zambia.

 

Meanwhile,   Mr.Kabimba has warned party officials  at district level throughout Zambia not to fight government officials and that government officials (Civil servants)  should not fight party officials but instead  work together to bring development.

 

Mr.  Kabimba has also warned District Commissioners  not to interfere in political issues in the district but should be left to party officials and that also district matters concerning government should be left to District Commissioners who letter deal the technocrats from different departments.

 

The Minister was speaking in Namwala when he paid a courtesy call at the district commissioners officer for Namwala yesterday 22nd June Mr.Gevar Nsanzya.
