Two killed in Mpika accident

TWO people from one family died on the spot in Mpika after the vehicle they were travelling in overturned.
One of the victims’ head was decapitated in the process.
The  accident happened  around 23:00 hours  on Tuesday, near Kalonje area along the Great North Road and the deceased were identified as Zebron, 17, and Humphrey Lombe, 23, both of Tazama Township.
Muchinga Commissioner of Police Lemmy Kajoba, who confirmed the accident yesterday, said the Toyota Noah registration number ACT 5493 was extensively damaged.
Preliminary investigations indicated that the driver could have been speeding and that the two died on the spot. The bodies were taken to Chilonga Mission Hospital.
The body of Zebron was found 25 metres away from the motor vehicle with the head cut off while Humphrey sustained head injuries and was bleeding from the nose and mouth.
