SAMSUNG have announced the release of a new super-fast version of their Galaxy S4 smartphone.

The Korean tech-giant’s flagship S4 is already arguably the fastest on the market, so adding extra speed could threaten to put real pressure on rivals like Apple.

It’s lightning-fast operation is thanks to new ‘LTE-Advanced’ 4G data technology — which means it can download information from the web twice as fast as the standard 4G model.

This means that a film download that takes three minutes on the standard model will take just over a minute on the super-fast version.

We recently revealed how researchers at Samsung announced a breakthrough in 5G mobile technology — which has the potential to be even faster than the current 4G.

But this won’t be rolled out to consumers until at least 2020.

Some models of the Galaxy S4 run octa-core processors — which means they have EIGHT hubs computing information simultaneously.
