Home Affairs Minister Edgar Lungu has told QFM News in an interview that people saying the PF government is denting the country’s image to the outside world do not understand facts.

Mr Lungu says the impression of the outside world concerning Zambia is of less concern to the government as long as it ensures there is accountability in the country’s governance.

He explains that the only way that those in government can be accountable is by learning from the mistakes of their predecessors, and not to impress the outside world by doing the wrong things.

Mr Lungu adds that government is not bothered by the perception of outsiders as long as it has the support of the Zambian people.

He says governance is a balancing act which calls for balancing of the interests of the citizens and a larger majority of the people as opposed to the interest of an individual.

Mr.Lungu says those crying out that government is denting the country’s image to the outside world through its actions should appreciate it is trying to balance the interest of the majority
