A senior Zambian citizen in Lusaka has urged government to quicken the clinical trials of the Sondashi Formula 2000 (SF 2000), which Dr. Ludwig Sondashi, the herbalist who invented it, claims can cure HIV/AIDS.
Mr. Kelvin Mayondi said Sondashi Formula 2000 was effective for the treatment of the HIV/AIDS and people were being cured from AIDS.
He told ZANIS in an interview in Lusaka today that some people, who were once HIV positive or had full blown AIDS, have since confessed that they have been cured.
Mr. Mayondi, who is also opposition Forum for Democratic Alternatives (FDA) Secretary General (SG) and works closely with former Works and Supply Minister Ludwig Sondashi, regretted that government has taken long to conclude the clinical trials of the SF 2000.
Recently, Deputy Minister of Health Patrick Chikusu disclosed that formulations have already been extracted from the Sondashi Formula and were undergoing clinical trials.
Dr. Chikusu said government has since set aside about KR800, 000 for clinical trials on the herbal remedy and that his ministry was working closely with the ministry in charge of science and technology in the research to ascertain the efficacy of the Sondashi Formula.
