The incident happened this week in dunda compound in which the victim, Michael Phiri died in unclear circumstances.

Relatives of the deceased Phiri, told ZANIS in Lundazi that it was unfortunate that police failed to exhibit professionalism when conducting investigations into the matter.

Mr.  Phiri, a nephew to the deceased explained that the family is not satisfied with the police findings where it was concluded that his uncle was burnt to ashes after he left a burning candle the previous night suggesting that there was no foul play involved as the incident was just a usual accident.

And Eastern Police Commanding Officer Ms Grace Chipalila when contacted for comment said her officers were still investigating the matter.

Miss Chipalila said the body is likely to be exhumed for postmortem so  that the cause of death could be established .

However, Miss Chipaila  has acknowledged that the officers discovered a wire tied round the neck of the burnt body of the victim.
