FAZ  Division One South Green Eagles Football Club Coach Justine Chinama says he is confident his team will win promotion to the FAZ MTN Super League next season.

 

Meanwhile, Defence Deputy Minister in charge of ZNS and Rural Development Colonel Joseph Lungu has pledged the service’s full support to the team.

Chinama said the current form his team is enjoying s a clear testimony of the team’s commitment to bounce back to the elite league next year after being relegated last season.

 

ZANIS sports reports that the FAZ Division One South Green Eagles Football Club Coach said this in an interview at Independence Stadium in Choma,  yesterday.

 

Chinama has since thanked the players for exhibiting high level of performance in every game played so far.

 

Yesterday, Green Eagles drew one all with visiting Young Stars of Chipata .

 

The team still leads on top of FAZ division one north table on 29 points with a clear 8 points difference.

 

Green Eagle scored first in the 8th minute and two minute later Young Stars equalized putting pressure on the home team from collecting maximum points.

 

With 11 games played so far, Nakambala Leopards and Nampundwe are second placed with 21 pints each but the later enjoys a superior goal difference while Lusaka City Council (LCC) close the top four bracket with 20 points.

 

Meanwhile, Defence Deputy Minister in charge of ZNS and Rural Development Colonel Joseph Lungu has pledged the service’s full support to the team.

 

Addressing the players at Independence Stadium in Choma, Col Lungu has since cautioned players against complacency and called for total respect to their superiors.

 

Col Lungu further urged the players to avoid engaging in illicit activities such as sex and beer drinking but remain focus and build their careers.

 

Green Eagle’s Football Club is a Zambia National Service (ZNS) sponsored outfit with its home ground being Independence Stadium in Choma.
