Government says the Church and Faith Based Organisations play an important role in the fight against corruption in the country.

Information and Broadcasting Services Minister Kennedy Sakeni said the church must however endeavour to partner with government to ensure that the high corruption levels in the country are reduced.

Mr. Sakeni who is also Chief Government Spokesperson urged the church to continue spreading moral messages to help people to change their mischievous attitudes.

The minister was speaking in Lusaka today in speech read on his behalf by Acting Director for Planning, Press and Public Relations Samson Kaluba at the presentation ceremony of E-Bibles to 65 trained Pastors.

The E -Bibles which are also installed with the bible school curriculum were donated to the Zambian pastors by the Heritage of Faith Christian Church based in the United States of America.

Mr. Sakeni has since called on the church to advance in the dissemination of moral information so that every member of society can have access to the word of God.

Meanwhile, Mr. Sakeni has thanked the Heritage of Faith Christian Church for supplementing government efforts through the provision of education, food and clothing to the vulnerable in society.
