Teachers urged to enhance their profession
Kabompo, May 22, ZANIS —–Kabompo District Education Board Secretary, Febby Kilele has implored teachers in the district to be of high esteem and enhance their teaching skills in order to reach the hearts of children while teaching.
Ms Kilele said skilled teachers provide an opportunity to develop pupil’s thinking skills and strategies which are a foundation for thoughtful learning.
She said this when she addressed 121 teachers participating at a one day School Based Continuing Professional Development (SBCPD) workshop held in the council chamber in Kabompo yesterday.
Ms Kilele said teachers with good teaching skills should have high esteem for themselves.
She said the workshop will give them an opportunity to share their experiences drawn from various schools in the district.
Ms Kilele said the implementation of the school based continuing professional development will go a long way in improving teaching and learning and also sharpen teachers’ skills and enhance pupil performance.
