Grey Insurance donates to Midlands Squash Open tourney

—African Grey Insurance Limited have donated KR1,000 towards the Midlands Squash Open Tournament scheduled for this weekend in Lusaka.

Presenting the donation, Director of Marketing, Maybin Mudenda, the gesture was just the beginning of his company’s commitment to sponsor squash.

ZANIS Sports reports that Mudenda said his company is glad and looking forward to get more involved especially with the Junior Squash development programme.

And in receiving the donation, Zambia Squash Association (ZSA) president, Norena Muteba, thanked African Grey Insurance Limited and called on other private sectors to support the sport of squash.

Muteba also disclosed that this weekend’s Midlands tournament is expected to attract over 40 players both locally and internationally and is open to both men and women.

This is the second competitive tournament of the year after the Zambia Junior Closed that was successfully hosted by Nkana Squash Club in Kitwe on April 20 and 21, 2013.
