Airtel customers will early next month have an opportunity to purchase the Samsung Galaxy S4 smartphones in all Airtel outlets across the African continent.
The customers will not only get the chance to own the most sought after mobile device of the year but also get three months data that will go with the phone.
This is according to a press statement made available to ZANIS in Lusaka on April 26 by Airtel Zambia’s Corporate Communications and Public Relations Officer Lisa Mulozi.
And Airtel Africa Chief Marketing Officer, Andre Bayers said the telecommunications company was happy to have responded to customers’ demands for the Samsung Galaxy S4 and for making it available in Africa.
He noted that with the company’s 3.75G network, its customers will be able to fully take advantage of all the features on what he called the innovative mobile devic
Mr. Beyers added that smart phone penetrations from a business perspective, was linked to strong data growth demonstrated through internal data which shows that Samsung smart phones generate 20 times more data than feature phones.
And Vice President for Samsung Electronics Africa, George Ferreira, said his company was extremely happy to partner with Airtel across Africa for bringing the Samsung Galaxy S4 to their customers.
Mr. Ferreira said Samsung Electronics was confident that Airtel customers will greatly benefit from the data offering with the S4.
He noted that the much anticipated handset reached 10 million pre-orders in the first two weeks after it was announced to the public.
The Samsung Galaxy S4 is all about togetherness and overcomes barriers of distance by enabling friends to share screens as well as exploring each other’s favourite music, files and games.
