——Kalulushi District Commissioner, Kampamba Mulenga, has urged youths in the district to come up with viable projects in order to access the Youth Development Fund (YDF).

Ms Mulenga said there was need for the youths to come up with project that would create employment for their fellow youths.

ZANIS Kalulushi Reports that Ms Mulenga said this in Kalulushi today during a meeting with the youths.

She said any project should be something that was sustainable and able to create jobs for other youths.

Ms Mulenga observed the youths in the district were not accessing the Youth Development Fund because they were not coming up with sustainable project proposals.

She urged the youths in the district to come up with projects that would benefit the community so that people felt the impact.

Ms Mulenga also appealed to the youths to work hard, adding that money was not easy to come by.

The DC observed with regret that Kalulushi was one district that had never accessed youth empowerment fund on the Copperbelt.

She, however, urged the youths to attend a youth motivation meeting with the experts from the Ministry of Sport and Youth which would be held at Chavuma Secondary School on Friday April 26.

And speaking at the same meeting, Dreams Shower Director, Sunday Sichone, encouraged the youths to have a drive in life if they were to achieve their goals.

Mr Sichone said it was the youths themselves that would drive away the poverty which was in their homes.

He called on every youth to sacrifice as things could never come easily.
