-First Lady attends aide’s burial

First lady Christine Kaseba this afternoon joined hundreds of mourners in paying their last respects to her social secretary superintendent Elector Hamwata.

Dr. Kaseba described the late Hamwata as an inspiring, hardworking, determined, reliable and dependable woman who touched the lives of many.

A sorrowful Dr Kaseba told the family of the late Hamwata during the requiem mass held at Bauleni Catholic Church in Lusaka to remain strong and united during the period of mourning.

And a son to the late Hamwata, Augustine Mufaweli said her mother has left a void in the family as she was the pillar.

And speaking on behalf of the Zambia Police , Police Deputy Commissioner Bony Kapeso regretted the death citing Hamwata’s unwavering commitment to the Service.

Hamwata who died in the line of duty in a car accident on Thursday last week in Kitwe was put to rest at the Leopard’s Hill Memorial Park in Lusaka this afternoon.

She served the Zambia Police Service for 31 years and is survived by a husband,  five sons and a grandchild.

Inspector General of Police Stella Libongani, former  IG Ephraim  Mateyo, Agriculture And Cooperatives deputy minister Rayford Monde and ministers spouses were among mourners who attended the funeral.
