UCZ ordinate Ministers

———The United Church of Zambia (UCZ) Synod Bishop, Mutale Mulumbwa has implored Christians of all denominations to continue working for the Lord Jesus Christ despite many challenges and temptations that come their way.

The Synod Bishop said this today when he officiated at the Ordination ceremony of eight Ministers and Commissioning of two Diaconal workers at the UCZ St. Peter’s Congregation in Kabwe.

It was such a profound church service at St. Peter’s Congregation in Kabwe as the UCZ held their annual Ordination ceremony of Ministers and Commissioning of diaconal workers.

This year, the congregation witnessed the ushering in of eight Ministers and two deaconesses respectively.

The new officers were clad in their respective church uniforms with the help of serving Reverends in the UCZ Church.

The two Diaconal Probationers are namely, Deaconesses, Author Nyondo and Josephine Kabamba.

Whereas the eight Ordinands were;

Licenciate Probationer, Elijah Chisulo-North Western Presbytery

Licenciate Probationer, Mwenya Kangwa –Northern Presbytery

Licenciate Probationer, Charles Musonda-Northern Presbytery

Licenciate Probationer, Howard Haamwiinga-North Western Presbytery

Licenciate Probationer, Melvin Mubanga-Southern Presbytery

Licenciate Probationer, Godfrey Gama-Southern Presbytery

Licenciate Probationer, Oscar Musonda-Southern Presbytery

And, Licenciate Probationer, Wezi Manda – Western Presbytery

Meanwhile, the UCZ Church Synod Bishop, Mutale Mulumbwa told ZANIS that “It is always an overwhelming gesture to see many more people accepting to serve God in their lives.”

And, the Synod Bishop later declared and welcomed the ministers and the diaconal workers to the everlasting Kingdom of God.

“In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, I declare that you have been ordained and commissioned to share fully in the life of your Order and keep its discipline.”

He further told them to, “Remember their call to support the weak, bind up the broken, gather in the outcast, welcome the stranger, seek the lost and care that they make glad those whom they help in their need, and to also let the concerns and sorrows of others be as their own.”

“May the Lord Jesus Christ our Master when he comes in glory, count you among his faithful servants and to God be the glory forever and ever Amen!”
