——————- Residents of Kasempa have bemourned the poor services being offered by some health workers at the  urban clinic in the district.

And Kasempa District Commissioner Victor Kayekesi says the complaint from members of the public is true following a private visit he conducted anonymously last week.

The complaints were revealed during a live phone-in radio programme at Kasempa Community Radio which was featuring the District Commissioner.

Several callers who sought anonymity cited poor service delivery by some health personnel at the urban clinic describing the workers as lazy and unconcerned towards their work.

Meanwhile, Kasempa District Commissioner Victor Kayekesi urged the community to report to his office whenever health personnels report late for work and present bad attitude towards patients.

Mr Kayekesi said that during one of his private visits at the clinic and Mukinge Hospital, he experienced mistreatment from some nurses who were on duty.

He has since advised management at the clinic to improve their service delivery because it is a directive from President Michael Sata.

Meanwhile, Acting Kasempa Community District Medical Officer  Enock Kalombo could not confirm the allegations as he was still conducting investigations over the same.

Mr Kalombo observed that his office had not yet received either verbal or written complaints from the public on the stated allegations.

Mr Kalombo has since promised the people of Kasempa improved health care provision once the allegations are proved true.
