A 13-year-old school girl of Mpombo area in Chief Chilyabufu’s Chiefdom in Itezhi tezhi district has been raped.
Banamwaze Ward Councillor Humphrey Namantemba has told ZANIS that the incidence happened in the early hours of yesterday.
“There is a sad incidence in which a school going girl was raped yesterday by unknown people who are on the run,” he revealed.
Mr. Namantemba said that the police neighborhood watch has launched a man hunt for the perpetrators of the crime.
He further said that perpetrators of such terrible crimes will not be tolerated in the district and appealed to the police to ensure justice prevails in this case.
