Seven kilometres of Kabompo township roads to be tarred

-Kabompo District Council Secretary, Francis Nkhoma has disclosed that government has approved the tarring of about seven kilometres of township roads in the district by mid this year.

 

Mr. Nkhoma said the projected has been awarded to BELGA Construction Company to tar the roads in the township which include Manyinga, Loloma, Chiweza up to the modern Bus Station.

 

The Council Secretary disclosed the development to the Zambia News and Information Services (ZANIS) in an interview in Kabompo district today.

 

Mr. Nkhoma further disclosed that the council intends to engage government on the possibility of adding another four kilometres to cover all township roads.

 

Government through the Ministry of Local Government and Housing has embarked on an ambitious programme to rehabilitate roads in all the districts in order to improve the road network.
