—-The Barotse Royal Establishment (BRE) has appealed to all Kuomboka Kufuluhela Committees to work hard and make this year’s Kuomboka ceremony a success.

Kuomboka National Publicity Chairman, Induna Inete Tawila Silumbu, made the appeal this morning in Mongu when he addressed heads of government departments heading sub committees under this year’s Kuomboka Ceremony to be held on April, 20, 2013.

Induna Silumbu expressed happiness that both BRE and government were working well on the preparations and disclosed that Airtel had decided to sponsor the ceremony.

He added that MTN indicated that it will sponsor the Regatta for 2013 while Zamtel took up the fundraising walk where the company donated KR 10, 000 cash last week on Thursday.

And speaking at the same meeting held at his office, Western Province Permanent Secretary Emmanuel Mwamba called on public officers to work hard on tasks given to them so that the ceremony can be a success.

“We should remain committed to our tasks and take Kuomboka Ceremony as a serious matter,” he said.

He has however assured the public that this year’s Kuomboka will be very peaceful.
