UNBELIEVABLY Zambian music lovers proved to be loyal to their local music when they massively turned out for ex convict Dandy crazy last Saturday.
The Easter weekend was full of entertainment as Nigerian artist Ice Prince and various local artist were performing throughout Lusaka city, Ice prince who visited the country for the first time stole the lime light for the weekend, some local performances on Friday couldn’t take off as many people were flocking to LIV night club where the first show for man of the weekend Ice prince was held.
Among many other local shows Exile’s show was abandoned at Lusaka’s Last point in Chilenje due to low turnout.
But King Dandy’s show proved the otherwise as many Zambian Music lovers filled Ikon pub in Lusaka’s Chilenje area, the show which started earlier than the usual, attracted a mass to the point of the club being crowded such that many people could not have a clear view of the Dibili sensation perform on stage as they stood outside the club trying to get a view of King Dandy perform on stage through the glass walls.
And Kabwata’s east point last Saturday hosted the music icons the Sakala brothers who gave the audience a good treat for the Easter holiday with their Kum’mawa rythm, the show was graced with performances by upcoming artists.
Despite the Sakala brothers having to perform on the same day as Ice prince who was the talk of the town who had his main show at the new government complex, the music icons still proved to be the best at their music.
