–Luwingu PF want DC to stay on

Luwingu district Patriotic Front (PF) executive committee has commended President Michael  Sata for appointing Mambwe Katontoka  as district commissioner.

The members are happy that the DC has changed the face of the district following massive developmental projects taking place in the area.

District Executive Committee chairperson Kephas Chofwe commended president Sata in a press statement released to Zambia news and information services in Luwingu.

He said following the appointment of Mrs. Katontoka as district commissioner for the area, the patriotic front membership has continued to grow because the district is receiving tremendous support from the government.

“I wish to warmly congratulate his excellent Michael chilufya Sata for having appointed a very dedicated woman district commissioner DC Mrs. Mambwe Katontoka,” the letter read in part.

Mr. Chofwe said Mrs. Katontoka is very hard working in mobilizing government officials and party members in the district without facing any challenge as it used to be many years ago.

He said Luwingu district of late has continued receiving developmental projects initiated by Mrs. Katontoka such as construction of Luwingu mansa road, Luwingu kawambwa road ,  Luwingu samfya road and Luwingu state prison among others.

Mr. Chofwe appealed to the government to consider extending her term of office in order for the district to achieve maximum developmental projects.

“We also wish to thank our honorable Member of Parliament Mr. Lazarus Bwalya chungu for his commitment in bringing development in his constituency Lupososhi and Luwingu district as a whole,” he said.

 

He said the party depends on him for  any other developmental programme in the district adding he has been instrumental in fostering development in the area.
