Soccer fans in Ndola have expressed concern over the manner in which the Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) has handled the Chipolopolo’s crucial World Cup qualifier against Lesotho.

ZANIS Sports reports from Ndola that most fans say that the former African Champions have not adequately prepared for the encounter.

The fans said in an interview, today, that it is wrong for Zambia to underrate Lesotho after the small kingdom’s national team lost 0-7 to Ghana.

One of the fans, Lameck Mwansa observed that Lesotho going into the Sunday match with a 7-0 defeat would be looking for a clear win against the Chipolopolo boys.

Mwansa said strictly speaking the Zambian team has not adequately prepared for the game and that they should be ready for anything.

“We have not adequately prepared for this game, I think we have underrated Lesotho, let’s hope we don’t regret that, because they are coming for goals so that they can un do their 7-0 defeat which they suffered at the hands of Ghana,” he said.

His counterpart, Maxwell Lubinda said Zambia needed to prepare extensively for the Lesotho game considering that they failed to impress at the just ended AFCON which was lifted by Nigeria.

Lubinda said the team needs to score many goals since Ghana is impressive on goals in the group.

The Chipolopolo boys  will this Sunday play Lesotho in an away World Cup qualifier.

A win for the 2012 Africa Soccer champions will put them at comfortable 9-points after having been awarded 3points by FIFA.

This followed the usage of a yellow carded player by Sudan in a World Cup qualifier played in Khartoum last year.
