Solwezi woman murdered by hubby
Solwezi, March 18, 2013, ZANIS……A 33 year old woman of Solwezi has been killed by her husband in unclear circumstances .
North western province Police deputy commissioner Paul Achiume confirmed to ZANIS today that the woman Sharon Musamba of Kyawama compound died this morning after her husband allegedly inserted a screw driver in her private parts.
Mr Achiume said police have since arrested her husband Maybin Simutowe of the same compound.
He said Musamba died later at Kyawama urban clinic.
In a related development, a man of Kasempa district has died after drowning in the Lufupa river in the Lunga busanga game management area.
Police named the deceased as Ndalifi Daibeo aged 45 years a resident of Kifupa in Kasempa.
North western province deputy Police commissioner Paul Achiume said the incident happened yesterday on sunday when the deceased went fishing.
Mr Achiume said the body of Daibeo has not been found and police suspect that a hippo could have killed Daibeo because the people who rushed to rescue him only found his boot floating.
