Chief Lubunda of Mwense hails Govt development works

Mwense, March 12, 2013,  ZANIS ———–Chief Lubunda of the
Chishinga people of Mwense District in Luapula Province has commended
Government for delivering development in his chiefdom.

Chief Lubunda said he is happy with the number of projects Government
is implementing in his area.

Chief Lubunda was speaking at his palace in Mwense yesterday when a
delegation from the Ministry of Education Science Vocational
Training and Early Education (MESVTEE) and Ministry of Transport
Works, Supply and Communication lead by Education Deputy Minister
David Mabumba paid a courtesy on him.

The Traditional leader mentioned some of the developmental projects
government is implementing in his area among them, the establishment of a solar
plant, the construction of a hospital and a college.

The delegation is in Mwense to inspect a proposed site for the construction of a Trades Training Institute in Musangu area.

And Chief Lubunda has cautioned his subjects against encroaching on the proposed land where the college will be built.

Chief Lubunda has since instructed  village headmen to ensure that families who are living near the area be re-allocated as there would be no compensation of any kind once the construction works starts.

This year Government has allocated funds for the first phase construction of Mwense Trades Training Institute in Luapula Province.
