Namwala stands out on certification
Namwala, February 25, ZANIS ——-Namwala district has been ranked number one out of 14 districts that were earmarked for certification on issues of HIV/AIDS.
The other district that were set on the pilot project by the National Aids Council (NAC) certification assessment team includes Kalomo, Livingstone, Choma, Sinazongwe, Mazabuka, KapiriMposhi, Solwezi, Ndola, Kafue, Lusaka, Kitwe, Mkushi, Kabwe and Chongwe .
Namwala District Aids Coordinator Daniel Mulonda told ZANIS in an interview that the development is good because Namwala has been leading from the initial stage of certification process.
He added that Namwala scored 100% of all the categories of certification which included governance and leadership, coordination of district responses, human resources management, Administrative management, Performance response management, mainstreaming crosscutting issues, financial management, Monitoring and evaluation.
Namwala district and 14 other piloting districts of the certification process of District Aids Task Force (DATF) by the National Aids Council have been undergoing the process of certification since October 2011.
Certification is a means of organizational capacity assessment by the National Aids Council in all DATF offices throughout the country.
