Given Lubinda takes back bench

MINISTER of Foreign Affairs Given Lubinda yesterday took the back bench in Parliament, prompting Zambezi West member of Parliament Charles Kakoma to raise a point of order.
Mr Kakoma asked why Mr Lubinda, who is also Kabwata member of Parliament, sat on the back bench instead of the front row reserved for Cabinet ministers.

Speaker Patrick Matibini said Mr Lubinda was in order to take the back bench but did not give further details.
Efforts to get a clear Government position from Chief Government Spokesperson Kennedy Sakeni on whether Mr Lubinda had ceased being the Minister of Foreign Affairs failed.
