Zambia commends Japan

Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Commerce, Trade and Industry Steven Mwansa has recommended the Japanese government for helping in improving the plight of the Zambian people.

Mr. Mwansa was speaking during a signing ceremony of the “Minutes of Meeting” between the Zambian government and the Japans government.

He said the signing of the “Minutes of Meeting” signifies the take off of the KAIZEN Institute of Zambia (KIZ) project.

He said the document that has been signed by the two governments provides a framework and methodology for implementing the concepts and techniques of KAIZEN institute.

Mr. Mwansa said the proposed plan of action will greatly assist in improving productivity in government ministries.

He has since assured the Japanese government that Zambia was committed to ensuring that the project was successful.

Meanwhile, Mr. Mwansa has revealed that Cabinet has constituted a steering committee that will drive the process of establishing the KAIZEN Institute of Zambia (KIZ) project.

And Japans Team leader of KAIZEN project Toru Homma said his government will continue to support the Zambian government through projects that are aimed bettering the livelihood of the citizenry.
